How to find your Model Number

The most important factor when ordering a spare part for a Hygena, Diplomat or Servis appliance is that you have managed to establish the correct MODEL NUMBER before ordering.

This at times is a very tedious task but done correctly, it will bring great satisfaction in ordering and receiving the correct spare part for your appliance.

Hygena and Diplomat Spares:

The model numbers for a Hygena product will always be three letters ( either AHY, APL, APM or APP ) followed by four numbers, with Diplomat products also having three letters ( either AAA, ABA, ACA, ADP, APL or APM ) and again followed by four numbers.

Howden Joinery and Schreiber Spares:

Some Hygena and Diplomat appliances will have model numbers commencing with HJA and followed by four numbers, this denotes a model purchased from Howden Joinery which was formerly part of MFI.

Also some rating labels will have the brand Schreiber but this is not important when obtaining the model number.

Servis Appliance Spares:

With respect to Servis branded appliances, all products begin with the letter 'M' which is followed by four numbers.

Many of these products will have different versions, with alternative colour ways, these are recognised by a either '/' followed by numbers or a letter denoting the colour ie 'S' normally denotes a silver colour way.

Appliance specific:

  • OVENS : Located around the front face of the oven aperture, on a small label but some Hygena and Diplomat models have a small label under the main oven gasket.
  • HOBS : Always difficult to find and normally located on the underside of the hob on the Rating label of the appliance.
  • EXTRACTORS : Always located inside the extractor hood, access can be gained by removing the filter panel/grids and you will see the label located on the inside of the housing.
  • DISHWASHERS : Located on one side of the inner door panel or on the front aperture.
  • FRIDGES : The Rating label of the appliance will be located in the bottom section of the appliance. Remove the storage containers and the label will be on the side wall of the appliance.

  • FREEZERS : The Rating label of the appliance will be located in the bottom section of the appliance. Remove the bottom storage basket and the label will be on the side wall of the appliance
  • FRIDGE FREEZERS : The model number will be found in the fridge section of the appliance on the Rating Label. Remove the storage containers and the label will be on the side wall of the appliance.
  • WASHING MACHINE & WASHER DRYERS : Located on a label, normally in one of two places, the first is around the porthole of the machine or secondly can be found on a label which is attached to the machine at the bottom. The wooden plinth that runs in front of an integrated product will have to be removed to gain access to this area.
